Today, Regal CineMedia Corporation (CineMedia), the media subsidiary of the Regal Entertainment Group (REG, NYSE: RGC), the largest movie theatre operator in the world, Chase (NYSE: JPM) and MasterCard International introduced the first co-branded credit card issued by a theatre circuit to reward movie-goers, the Regal Entertainment Group Platinum MasterCard(R) card. Regal Entertainment Group also announced a multi-year marketing agreement with MasterCard International making MasterCard its official payment card brand.

The REG Platinum MasterCard will include a value-added reward program and deliver "Priceless" experiences unique to REG circuits, comprised of Regal Cinemas, United Artist Theatres, Edwards Theatres and Signature Theatres across the United States. Specific details about the rewards program will be made available when the card launches in spring 2005. Point of sale materials, national print advertising, direct mail, and online support will also enhance the introduction of the REG Platinum MasterCard.

The terms of the marketing agreement with MasterCard include a variety of on-screen and in-lobby promotional opportunities for Regal Entertainment Group's 560 theatres nationwide, reaching nearly 6,300 screens in 40 states.
